Awareness Week 2023
Coeliac Awareness Week this year will focus on family diagnosis. We’re urging all family members to get tested as we are encouraging everyone to learn more about the prevalence in families with coeliac disease.
“Make a Promise” this Awareness Week and get tested if a first degree relative you know has coeliac disease.
How you can get involved this awareness week!
We have put together a schedule of events over 5 days that will combine educational talks, quiz night, Q&A and fun activities for all the family.
We are asking you to help spread awareness of coeliac disease during the week and donate €5 for one of the 500K undiagnosed coeliac/gluten intolerant people in Ireland.
Donate €5 for an undiagnosed coeliac.
This year’s awareness theme is all about Family & Diagnosis and the society is asking all households to “Make a Promise this Awareness Week – Get Tested!”. This in not just a catch phrase but is a critically important question that needs to be answered and is based on the findings of a study on “Family Prevalence” of the incurable autoimmune coeliac disease.
