We kick off this exciting new event right in the middle of the country! In the fantastic surrounds of Ireland’s hidden heartlands the Coeliac Society is delighted to invite you to our very first in-person event in two years! Taking place in the plush surrounds of the Tullamore Court Hotel the day promises to be a great day out for coeliacs and gluten intolerant alike. Lunch is a key part of the day and is included in your ticket price! A fantastic 2-course gluten free meal and of course tea & coffee.
The day kicks off with a medical updates from Dr. Alfonso Rodriguez Herrera, MD, PhD. and our very own Sarah Keogh. We will have cooking demonstrations from CSI’s own chef Frances Buckley and Chef Adrian. Panel discussions on eating out as a coeliac and the cost of gluten free foods promise to keep you enaged for the afternoon. There will be spot prizes, a raffle and a goodie bag packed with goodies for every ticket holder!

Chef Adrian Martin is an Irish celebrity chef and author from Cavan. He is also the owner and head chef of Wildflower Restaurants in Dublin and London. He is known for his work online with various foodie websites and on TV with RTÉ, TV3 and Virgin Media Television.


Alfonso Rodriguez-Herrera is a medical consultant in paediatrics with special interest in paediatric gastroenterology and nutrition. He gained his PhD from the University of Seville (Spain) with a thesis on coeliac disease. He is full member of ESPGHAN (European Society for Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition)and member of its Coeliac Disease Special Interest Group. His main research topics are biomarkers of dietary compliance (allergy, coeliac disease and obesity). He is one of the co-authors of the patent P201400569 for gluten free diet monitoring.
Sarah is the founder of Eatwell and has over 20 years’ experience working in nutrition and dietetics. Sarah has a degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics from Trinity College, Dublin and a Masters in European Food Regulation. Sarah works with food companies on food legislation and product development as well as delivering workplace wellness sessions and nutrition courses. Sarah is an outstanding speaker on nutrition whether she is delivering a nutrition session or speaking on radio & television.


Frances Buckley is an Applied Culinary Nutritionist and Chef with over 25 years of professional cooking experience in restaurants and diplomat catering.
Frances is a classically trained chef, having trained in Dublin College of Catering, Cathal Brugha Street. With over 5 years’ experience working in the area of sensory food science evaluation, with Teagasc and Diageo as part of their food sensory testing panels.
