Hi there just wondering have are Lingus started charging for a bag for food and medication. We always travel with Aerlingus and always brought a letter from Gp stating my husband is Coeliac and needs to bring food and medication on holidays. We were never charged for this bag but today when I rang ahead they told me I need to book in a bag and pay to bring his food and medication!!! Anyone hear about the change in policy?
We have recently travelled with aer lingus. On the advice of the special assistant( 2 months ago over the phone) she recommended we ask for a dietary exemption for restrictions and levy to be waivered. We were granted an extra 10kg for outbound and inbound. We had to apply online through special assistance.
I have travelled with Aer Lingus and brought food on board in my bag. At no time have I being refused or anyone said anything even at security check at scanning
