Welcome to the gluten free decision tree. This guide will help you to decide if the food you are choosing is gluten free. Following a gluten free diet can be a lot of work and you can use our decision tree to help you figure out what you can safely eat and what to stay away from. Use the decision tree along with reading your food labels and with your Coeliac Food app. Let us know if we can help you with foods you are not sure about and remember to keep your app and food list up to date!
Health Food Shops
Health Food Stores such as Nourish, Holland & Barrett, and the Health Store, carry a good range of popular gluten-free products. However please note: naturally gluten-free flours and grains on sale under wholesalers brand names are at high risk of gluten-contamination as products are bought in bulk from mills in UK and Europe and re-packaged by the company under their own brand.
Pharmacies
Most Pharmacies stock gluten-free foods or can order them in. As part of the Drug Payment Scheme your doctor can prescribe food from the GMS List.
The Food List is the best gluten free guide for all brands that are certified gluten-free and guaranteed under 20ppm. You can also purchase gluten-free products online. Their delivery service will bring gluten-free products right to your door, anywhere in Ireland.
