What Is The Certification Process?
The annual cost of certification depends on the level of projected turnover for the product. This can be calculated easily upon enquiry. The Coeliac Society also offers a 15% discount on your first year, so you can see the benefits directly.
- Yearly Certification cost starting at €500 a year.
- All certified products must be tested annually, using a UKAS or equivalently accredited laboratory, at a cost of €65 per product.
- European certification also requires an annual audit of your production facilities. A half day audit costs €300.
The total initial cost for obtaining a Crossed Grain licence for one product is €865.
